Induction heaters

Quickly heat rolling bearings and other ring-shaped metal parts with simatherm products. Thanks to the heat extension, work pieces can be easily fitted onto the shaft. During the heating process, only the work piece heats up; the equipment itself stays cool. simatec manufactures induction heaters for work pieces up to 1,200 kg. Heaters for special applications can be developed on demand.
The inductive heating of ring-shaped parts is quick, clean and efficient. It replaces traditional heating techniques such as hotplates, hot oil baths, open flames or stoves.

Advantages of induction heaters:

1. Very quick. Devices need no preheating time.
2. Workpieces are heated very evenly, no isolated hot spots as when using a flame or a hotplate.
3. No damage to workpieces by hammer blows, flames or acidic oil.
4. No contamination by old oil, dust or swarf etc.
5. Bearings can be heated when pre-greased. Bearing grease is only slightly  warmed by radiating heat. The grease is also not contaminated with old oil or washed away as it would be in an oil bath.
6. No damage to plastic parts on bearings.
7. The devices themselves remain cold during the warming process, or only become slightly warm from radiant heat.
8. Low risk of accidents.
